Body Sugaring

What is Body Sugaring?

Body sugaring is an ancient Egyptian method of hair removal using a 100% natural paste of sugar, lemon and water. It is a safe, gentle and effective solution to hair extraction for women, men and children. Body Sugaring offers numerous unique and diverse benefits. The most important advantage is very fundamental: the sugar paste formulation extracts the hair in its natural direction of growth while the hair is still in the early growth stage (Anagen stage). This drastically reduces the occurrence of hair breakage, unnecessary discomfort, irritation and ingrown hairs while exfoliating dry skin cells.

Why is sugaring better than waxing?

Wax has many chemical ingredients while sugaring paste is made from 100% NATURAL INGREDIENTS. Hot Wax must be heated to a very high degree in order to become liquefied. This amount of heat can cause burning and scarring. It also causes swelling in the tissues, which makes hair removal difficult. Long term use can breakdown the underlying connecting tissues associated with wrinkling.

Does it hurt?

If you have been shaving, the first treatment is the worst, due to the fact that the bulb at the base of the hair shaft is enlarged. The more treatments you receive, the weaker the roots get and the easier it is to remove the hair.

How many treatments until the hair growth diminishes?

Depending on how dense the hair growth is on each individual, it ranges from 18 months for people with light hair growth to 3 years or more for people with heavy growth.

How long does the hair have to be?

Hair growth needs to be only 1/8” to be removed.

Is there any chance of cross-contamination?

There is zero cross-contamination with body sugaring.

Do you have to be a certain age?

The best age to start is at puberty.
